BEE-L is a moderated list for the discussion of research and information concerning the biology of bees. This includes honey bees and other bees (and maybe even wasps). We communicate about sociobiology, behavior, ecology, adaptation/evolution, genetics, taxonomy, physiology, pollination, and flower nectar and pollen production of bees. Current Discussions are posted to email, Archived Discussions go back many years. Bee-L is a community of experienced beekeepers, academics, and government agricultural specialists. The emphasis is on informed discussions that can be backed up by experience and science, not just opinion. Debates can be lively, this Forum is not for the timid, but it aspires to find the truth.
